Parent and Caregiver Support Groups

Through support groups we strive to improve the mental health of parents and caregivers of children with disabilities. Many parents & caregivers report struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

Research indicates that parents of children with disabilities are more likely to develop mental health related disorders than parents of typically developing or able-bodied children. One of the major factors influencing the mental health of caregivers is the lack of support.

It is essential for caregivers to have access to mental health services, support systems, and resources to cope with the challenges they face.

Support groups are currently offered monthly, located at Elk Grove Library. Check our events to see the next date!
